| Kamui and Kotori are trapped within the illusion of the Sakurazukamori. Kamui tells Kotori to stay beside him. From the distance a voice calls to them, he has summoned a lady guest as well. Kamui turns to see the Sakurazukamori, whom he recognizes as the one who attacked them in Hinoto's chambers. The Sakurazukamori nods, yes, and they got away that time. |
| He calls forth a massive demon bird, then sends it to attack Kamui. Kamui calls forth his own power and blasts the bird, telling the Sakurazukamori that he will never forgive him for involving Kotori in their fight. |
| In the ensuing battle both are Kamui and the Sakurazukamori are wounded, Kotori is knocked from the rock perch and Kamui catches her, but leaves himself vulnerable to attacks from behind. Remorselessly he calls upon a final attack... |
| ...but Fuuma suddenly appears, protecting Kamui and Kotori and breaking the spell. The Sakurazukamori is stunned, yet leaves just as silently as he appeared. Now he has something else to look forward to. Kamui looks up to Fuuma, whose face is a mask of coldness and asks him Why? but there is no reply. |
